Guest Speaker (n): a person with a specific skill or interest that is invited to come to Conn and speak or demonstrate their skills. These speakers can range from architects, carpenters, and electricians to professors, small business owners and government officials. Usually the speaker spends about an hour with a module class presenting information and answering questions.
Guest Speakers can come to your modules classroom, and sometimes your homeroom classroom. They will tell you about their job, how they do it, and sometimes why they like it. Your child can learn something new, and have fun, too! Your child sometimes will also get various handouts and other items. (K.B.M.)
